Through key interviews and rare archival footage, the documentary explores the challenges faced by its young creative team, the studio dynamics that shaped it, and its unexpected resurgence as a cult classic. Directed by Christopher Ninness and Eric Kimelton, and executive produced by Don Hahn (The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast), this retrospective sheds light on Disney Animation’s evolution and the film’s lasting legacy. NJAG screened at D23, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Family Museum, and peaked at #3 on Disney+.
