A Seat at the Table is an award-winning 24-lesson program exploring sensitive topics in the workplace through an unscripted roundtable discussion. Shot across 3 seasons in El Segundo, CA, A Seat at the Table won 10 Awards for excellence in corporate training, workplace culture and social impact.
Leading with Purpose, Producing with Precision
DEVELOPMENT: A Seat at the Table began as a response to the growing need for inclusive, human-centered training in the workplace. The unscripted format demonstrates how to use honest conversations to unite employees in respecting and celebrating their differences. In February 2020, I produced and directed the pilot episode. The COVID-19 pandemic both delayed the project and made it more relevant in 2021. Recognizing its potential, we expanded the first season from six to eight episodes.
CHALLENGES: Producing A Seat at the Table came with complex challenges—from casting authentic voices to navigating the logistics of production during a pandemic. Each episode required delicate sensitivity as we told real stories, balanced with educational moments and emotional truth.
Topics Include: Code‑Switching, Imposter Syndrome, Gender Equality, Neurodiversity, Addiction, Politics at Work, Antisemitism
My Role: Real People. Real Stakes.
From the initial pilot, I led the expansion and production end-to-end, building a system to handle scale without losing heart.
That meant:
Assembling the team—hiring editors, producers, directors, and creatives
Overseeing creative development from idea to screen
Casting real voices from across the U.S. with authenticity and care
Managing remote workflows to keep editorial and post moving across cities
Keeping production on schedule—tight deadlines, evolving scripts, shifting logistics
Ensuring visual and narrative consistency across three distinct seasons
Handling executive feedback and approvals with speed and clarity
Award-Winning Results
From that initial pilot, three full seasons were greenlit—a rare win in original content. 24 episodes. Nearly 100 unique voices. And the result? A Seat at the Table went on to win 1 Anthem Award and 9 Telly Awards for excellence in corporate training, workplace culture and social impact.
