One word. Three minutes. Shared understanding.

Creating shared language around complex topics can often be tricky. Sometimes the words we say can get in the way of what we actually mean.

For Starters, a Cornerstone original learning series, aims to create a shared understanding of foundational terms used in DEIB training — words like equity, race, belonging, and gender. Each of the 19 courses highlights a single word and, in 3 minutes or less, helps boost a learner's ability to communicate consistently and effectively.

The challenge: Take abstract, often charged vocabulary and make it clear, human, and actionable — without losing nuance or depth.

Producing clarity, word by word

As Producer and Production Manager, I was responsible for bringing all 19 episodes from concept to delivery — aligning creative, editorial, and educational objectives with Cornerstone's production standards.

My responsibilities included:

  • End-to-end production management across 19 episodes
  • Coordinating writers, educators, voiceover artists, and animators
  • Ensuring each course met DEIB content standards and instructional goals
  • Managing timelines, review cycles, and stakeholder approvals
  • Maintaining tonal and visual consistency across the full series
