A Seat at the Table
An award-winning 24-episode program exploring sensitive workplace topics through unscripted roundtable conversations. Shot across 3 seasons in El Segundo, CA.
Real people. Real stakes. End-to-end ownership.
From the initial pilot, I led the expansion and production end-to-end — building a system to handle scale without losing heart. That meant assembling a team of editors, producers, directors, and creatives, overseeing creative decisions from idea to screen across all three seasons, and sourcing real voices from across the U.S. willing to speak candidly on camera about sensitive topics.
I built and managed distributed production systems to keep editorial and post moving across cities, delivered every episode on time across tight deadlines, and translated executive notes into action with speed and clarity — without compromising the series' voice.
Leading with purpose, producing with precision
A Seat at the Table began as a response to the growing need for inclusive, human-centered training in the workplace. The unscripted format demonstrates how to use honest conversations to unite employees in respecting and celebrating their differences.
In February 2020, I produced and directed the pilot episode. The COVID-19 pandemic both delayed the project and made it more relevant in 2021. Recognizing its potential, we expanded the first season from six to eight episodes — and greenlit two more seasons from there.
Producing A Seat at the Table came with complex challenges: casting authentic voices, navigating pandemic logistics, and telling real stories with both sensitivity and educational clarity.
Three seasons. 24 episodes. Nearly 100 unique voices.
From that initial pilot, three full seasons were greenlit — a rare win in original content. A Seat at the Table went on to win 1 Anthem Award and 9 Telly Awards for excellence in corporate training, workplace culture, and social impact.
